We have seen lots of foldable smartphones over the years from Samsung, Motorola, OnePlus, and more, now Vivo has come into the foldable segment and introduced its Foldable smartphone globally.
Last year OnePlus also introduced its foldable smartphone which was gaining more attention in the Indian market, Now Vivo INtroduced the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in the market with some improvements giving tough competition to some big companies like OnePlus and Samsung.
Vivo X Fold 3 Pro launched in India and it became the slimmest and most lightweight smartphone in the foldable segment. Vivo said that it solved many problems that foldable smartphones face like poor camera quality, battery life, and poor build quality.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Design Review
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro was launched only in one colour variant, Celestial Black, which gives the smartphone a premium feel. The back panel of the smartphone has a shiny matte-black finish that prevents dust and fingerprints from accumulating on it.
Vivo X Fold 3 Pro comes with a weight of 236 grams, which is 3 grams lighter than the OnePlus Open. X Fold 3 Pro is slimmer at 5.2mm unfolded and thicker at 11.2mm folded than any other foldable phone unlike most other foldable phones, where the slimness is beyond imagination since one would think that they are just having a high-end handset instead of a foldable one.
Armor Architecture composed of military-grade UPE-backed armor glass and Armor back cover is used in making the X Fold 3 Pro.
There is also a carbon fiber hinge integrated by Vivo which weighs only 14.98gms. According to Vivo, this hinge can support about one hundred folds per day for more than twelve years; this is quite exceptional.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Display Review
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has a 6.53-inch LTPO 8T AMOLED cover display and an 8.03-inch LTPO 8T AMOLED main foldable display. Conversely, the crease of the foldable screen is visible if you look closely. Yet, it does not impact on the view or functionality as it is barely noticeable.
The brightness of up to 4500nits on both the cover and main screens is what this phone offers. These two displays also support HDR10+ and Dolby Vision content delivering first-class viewing. Both displays have a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz which ensures smooth and fast navigation around.
Dual-screen ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which is one of its main features, allows users to unlock their device both in folded and unfolded states.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Camera Review
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is equipped with a triple camera co-engineered with ZEISS Optics. Summarily, the phone has a 50MP VCS True Color primary camera, a 64MP ZEISS telephoto camera which can zoom optically up to 3x and zoom hybridly up to 10x, and zoom digitally up to 100x. The third sensor of the camera is a 50MP wide-angle lens.
The colour tons, clarity, crispness it’s just all perfectly balanced. At this point, I would like to talk about the functions of this device for different types of photography: landscape photography – in particular – and portrait photography – in general. It’s 64MP ZEISS telephoto when shot at focal length of 23mm, 70mm, and 90 mm does wonders when it comes to capturing images of people or objects along with their minute details.
Moreover, there are also features on the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro such as supermoon shoot and astrophotography; the former was not as clear as on the Galaxy S24 Ultra that was reviewed earlier.
I enjoyed taking pictures using portrait mode. Additionally, you can also adjust the background blur on your own for more freedom.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Performance Review
The Vivo X Fild 3 Pro is run by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which makes it the first foldable Android phone to have the newest flagship processor. Additionally, it provides its customers with a 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage. The Vivo X Fild 3 Pro allows users to swiftly use three different applications simultaneously.
Playing games like BGMI or Call of Duty that require high graphics for long periods results in the device becoming uncomfortably hot near the camera module. Besides, Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has AI features such as AI note assist, AI transcriptions, and AI screen translation which uses Google’s Gemini.
In addition, this phone runs on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 which has numerous customizable features for home and lock screens. However, among its standout features is a double fingerprint screen available both on its cover and main screen making it easy to unlock the device.
Furthermore, the OS also contains few third-party apps that are not customized for foldable devices thus user experience may be hampered for a premium smartphone costing Rs.159999.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Battery Review
The battery of Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is remarkable boasting a 5700mAh battery, the biggest in the market for foldable smartphones. The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro could last easily through a day with medium to heavy use.
As far as charging is concerned, the battery supports 100W quick charge and 50W wireless charging. It only takes 35 minutes for the phone to reach full charge when using a wired charger, which is quite impressive given that this is supposed to be a foldable device.
Foldable phones have always been burdened with poor cameras, but with X Fold 3 Pro, the tables may turn around since it has an outstanding camera setup that includes telephoto lenses and captures high-quality images.”
