The Vivo V40 series has officially launched today in India. The smartphones have features with a Zeiss rear camera setup; the Vivo V40 has a dual rear camera setup, while the Vivo V40 Pro has a triple rear camera setup.
The smartphones run on Android 14 based on Funtouch OS 14 and pack with a 5,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast wired charging. The Vivo V40 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, and the V40 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset.
Vivo V40 series price in India
The Vivo V40 launched in India today in three RAM and storage configurations. The (8GB + 128GB) RAM and internal storage is priced at Rs. 34,999 in India.
The higher variant (8GB + 256GB) of RAM and internal storage is priced at Rs. 36,999 in India, and the top model with (12GB + 512GB) of RAM and internal storage is priced at Rs. 41,999 in India.
Vivo V40 launched in Ganges Blue, Lotus Purple, and Titanium Grey colour options. The smartphone is available for pre-booking, and it will be available for sale from August 19.

The Vivo v40 and Vivo V40 Pro feature the same 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 2800 x 1260 pixels resolutions, HDR 10+, and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness.
The Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro have the same dimensions (164.2 x 74.9 x 7.58) mm and 192 Grams weight. The Vivo v40 series has an improved display from its previous model, the Vivo V30.

The Vivo V40 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 with Adreno 720 GPU; it’s the same chipset Vivo used in the previous Vivo V30. The Vivo V40 Pro is powered by flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ based on a 4nn chipset.

The Vivo V40 Pro features a Zeiss triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel (f/1.9) Sony IMX921 primary sensor with OIS and AF, a 50-megapixel (f/1.9) ultra-wide secondary sensor, and a 50-megapixel (f/2.0) telephoto sensor.
On the front, the smartphone has a 50-megapixel (ff/2.0) sensor for selfies and video calls.
Battery and connectivity
The Vivo V40 series has a 5,00mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging support. The company claims the batteries of Vivo V40 and V40 Pro can complete a 1,600-hour full charge cycle while maintaining battery health at least 80 percent.
Both smartphones have 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C port supports, as well as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.
They have an in-display fingerprint scanner for security, and both smartphones are IP68 rated for dust and water resistance.
