Samsung’s upcoming mid-range phone, the Galaxy A56 5G, has surfaced in recent Geekbench listings, shedding light on its key specifications.
According to the benchmark, the device will feature the Exynos 1580 chipset paired with the Xclipse 540 GPU from AMD, marking a significant upgrade over its predecessor.
The phone, identified by the model number SM-A566B, has achieved an impressive single-core score of 1353 and a multi-core score of 3832.
These scores outpace those of the Galaxy A55, which, with its Exynos 1480 processor, managed 1127 (single-core) and 3090 (multi-core).
Samsung Galaxy A56 5G: GeekBench Details
- CPU: The Exynos 1580 uses a tri-cluster architecture, consisting of 1 prime core clocked at 2.91 GHz, 3 performance cores at 2.66 GHz, and 4 efficiency cores at 1.95 GHz. This setup represents a notable improvement over previous mid-range Exynos processors.
- GPU: The Xclipse 540 GPU, built on RDNA 3 architecture, is expected to offer significant graphics enhancements compared to the RDNA 2-based Xclipse 530 GPU found in earlier models.
- RAM: The listing confirms 8GB of RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking.
- Operating System: The phone will run on Android 15, making it one of the early adopters of the latest Android version.

Performance and Chipset Enhancements
The Exynos 1580 brings an entirely new architecture, including Cortex-A720 prime and performance cores, and Cortex-A520 efficiency cores.
These represent a leap forward in performance and power efficiency compared to the Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 cores used in the Exynos 1480 SoC, positioning the Galaxy A56 5G for better performance in everyday tasks and gaming.
