Carl Pei the CEO of Nothing Phone teased an all-new operating system called Nothing Phone OS 3.0 which will be released in September.
Nothing OS 3.0 will have an all-new Lock Screen customization feature. and also a dot animation feature which was leaked by another X Post.

Nothing Phone OS 3.0: Customised Lock Screen
Nothing Phone OS 3.0 has only three styles but Carl Pei may launch more features. The customization lock screen has Default, Clock+Widgets, and Expanded Widget Area.
The default option is the standard clock, date, and day style, while the clock+widget style will bring more features to bear and the third version is an expanded version of the clock+widget.
In Pei’s images, this style displays a weather widget with a dotted font clock as well as a contact widget and a shortcut to quick action.
This style of Pei’s image has both analog and digital clocks on display along with an expanded widget for time and day. Lock Screen users can add more in this style.

This is what a dot could look like on the Quick Settings Panel too. Pei shared an image that had three layers on it Input Image Layer, Live Interaction Layer, and Final Output Layer which made it interactive.

Nothing Phone 3
A week ago, Pei wrote a long post hinting at Nothing Phone 3’s forthcoming flagship release in 2025.
He suggested that AI will be deeply integrated into the operating system of Nothing Phone 3 to give a personalized user experience.
